The University Neurological Clinic provides: tertiary care and education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in accordance with the principles and methods of modern educational methodology.

Units
A. Acute Stroke Unit (ASU), dedicated to the management of acute strokes based on international criteria and guidelines, through the formation of a “stroke team” in collaboration with other hospital departments and personnel.
B. Neuroimmunology Unit, focused on the treatment, management, laboratory investigation, and development of diagnostic methods for immunological and other inflammatory diseases of the central and peripheral nervous system.
C. Clinical Neurophysiology Unit, focused on the laboratory investigation of diseases of the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous system using advanced neurophysiological methods.
D. Neurosonology Unit, focused on the use of ultrasound methods related to the specialty of Neurology, in accordance with current regulations.
E. Cognitive Disorders and Dementia Unit, which constitutes the Day Center for the Support of Persons with Dementia. Its mission is to provide services that enhance the functionality and daily living of individuals with memory disorders, offer psychoeducation and counseling to caregivers, organize informational and educational activities for health professionals and the general public, and implement innovative empowerment programs.
F. Neurorehabilitation Unit, dedicated to providing services that enhance the functionality of individuals with neurological diseases and offering counseling to patients and caregivers, particularly during and after their hospitalization. It applies advanced techniques for monitoring and managing patient symptoms during rehabilitation, with the support of multidisciplinary staff, when available, such as physiatrists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, specialized nurses, and related professionals.
G. Neuroscience Research and Innovation Unit, focused on the development and application of pioneering methods and programs in the field of Neurology and Neurosciences in general, in collaboration with other Clinics and Departments of the DUTH Faculty of Medicine with common or related interests (e.g., Neuroradiology, Neuro-ophthalmology, Neuro-intensive care, Neuro-oncology, Neurogenetics, Neuroimmunology, Vascular Neurology, Neurocardiology, Neuropsychiatric disorders, Neurodevelopmental disorders, Neuromuscular diseases, Neurodegenerative disorders, etc.).
Residency Training Program:
The clinic provides 7 positions for full residency training in the specialty of Neurology.
Total training duration: 5 years.
- Basic Training (12 months): 6 months Internal Medicine, 6 months Psychiatry.
- Specialized Training (48 months):
- 26 months in General Neurology wards (includes clinical practice in specific fields of Neurology such as: epilepsy, headache, dementia syndromes, demyelinating diseases, neuromuscular diseases, extrapyramidal and neurodegenerative disorders, stroke, peripheral nerve disorders, neuro-oncology, and CNS infections).
- 4 months in specialized units of the Neurological Clinic (such as practice in Acute Stroke Units combined with neurosonology training) or other organized specialized departments.
- 10 months in Clinical Neurophysiology.
- 4 months of practice in the Outpatient Clinics.

Weekly schedule: lectures (4 hours), clinical practice (2 hours), clinical tutorial (1 hour).
Clinical Practice (11th and 12th Semesters)
12 cycles per academic year.
