The Clinic provides training to 3rd, 4th, and 6th-year undergraduate students, while its faculty members (DEP) participate in the teaching of numerous postgraduate programs. Members of the Clinic are actively involved in a large number of research protocols and clinical trials, with a research and publication record that includes numerous publications, primarily in the fields of diabetes mellitus, metabolic disorders, infectious diseases, and digestive system diseases.
Within the Clinic, a Special Infectious Diseases Unit operates, established as a “Infectiology” specialization center, alongside an officially established Diabetes Center. In addition to general internal medicine clinics, specialized outpatient clinics are in operation (Infectious Diseases, HIV, Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolic Syndrome, Diabetic Foot, and Adolescent-to-Adult Transition Diabetes Clinic). Furthermore, a specialized Gastroenterology-Hepatology clinic is available, offering a wide range of endoscopic examinations and therapeutic interventions. The Clinic’s specialized services are provided to a large number of patients throughout the entire health region.
